About Me
Myself Lipshit Dash currently pursuing M.sc(Applied Physics) from Odisha University of Technology and Research
My Interest lies mainly in H.E.A (High Energy Astrophysics) and Computational astrophysics. Other domains like solar physics and radio astronomy also fascinates me.
I have some knowledge about data analysis from satellites and telescope. As from my previous experience, I have been analyzing Raw Telescopic Data for image processing of stars and galaxies. Also during my online training of data science I have gained some of the machine learning models for data analysis.
My interest in astrophysics grew during the lockdown period where I discoverd a lot of intresting oppurtunities and also luckily got hands-on few of them. I got selected in Summer Research Program Fellowship 2021 by Indian Academy of Sciences, I also got selected to work on a solar project from a post-doc faculty from A.R.I.E.S
NuStar Spectral analysis of Seyfert Galaxies
This project was done during SRPF21 which was guided by Dr.C.S Stalin,Professor (Indian Institute of Astrophysics) and Indrani Pal,SRF (IIA). It was 8 week long project and whose aim was to find the HI line (Coronal Temperature) of various galaxies present under Seyfert.
Solar Sigmoid Detection using Deep Learning Model
This project was jointly done by me and Adarsh Mahor under the guidance of Dr.Rakesh Mazumder Post-doc,A.R.I.E.S. Here we created a deep learning model for detection of solar sigmoid by using Raw telescopic data from past 5 years.
